The North Stars would strike first just 6:52 into the hockey game when Matthias Urbanski would snap home his 7th of the season to make it 1-0. They would add to their lead on the power play as Cody Spagrud's point shot would beat a screened Berk Berkeliev for his 2nd of the year to give the home-side a 2-0 lead after 20 minutes.

In the 2nd, the Mils would cut their deficit in half as Jacob Bourchier would finish off a nice tic-tac-toe passing play and beating Adam Dmyterko for his 1st SJHL goal to make it a 2-1 game. The North Stars continued to lead the shot clock at 32-14 after 40 minutes.

The Moneymen got off to a fast start in the 3rd and would tie it up with a couple goals just over 1 minute apart as Sam De Melo and Tyler Pryhitka would light the lamp to make it 3-3.
