Mils win; Wolverines lose in Wednesday's SJHL/MJHL Recap


SJHL
20 year old Dayton Heino (pictured above) scored the OT winner on the powerplay, 2:36 into the extra period to lead the Melville Millionaires (2-7-1-1) to a 3-2 home ice win over the Weyburn Red Wings (5-2-1-0) on Wednesday.

Shane Sherban and Jaxon Tait also scored for the Mils while Berk Berkeliev made 22 saves to earn his 2nd win of the season.

Jacob Piller and Connor Pyne replied for the Red Wings.

The Mils will go for their 2nd win in a row tomorrow night (Fri) when they visit the Battlefords North Stars at the Civic Center. GX94 will broadcast the game with Yorkton Dodge Junior Hockey, your "Sask Milk" pregame show begins at 7:20, pxp at starts at 7:30. MJHL
The Waywayseecappo Wolverines (5-2-1-0) dropped their 3rd straight game falling on home ice, 3-0 to the visiting Winnipeg Blues (5-3-0-0)

Sulivan Shortreed, Jayson Szun and Michael Ladyman scored for the Blues who got a 30 save shutout from Jeremy Link.

Issac Labelle made 26 saves on 28 shots in the losing cause.

The Wolverines will begin a 3 games in 3 night road trip on Friday night in Winkler against the Flyers before heading to Selkirk (Friday) and Winnipeg (Sunday) to finish off the roady.
