Millionaires' wrap up season series with Broncos with defeat on road

The Humboldt Broncos evened up the season series with the Melville Millionaires on Wednesday night after a 6-0 win over the Moneymen at the Elgar Petersen Arena.

The Broncos got the on the board first with 7:31 left in the 1st period as Alex Morozoff's one timer on a pass from Alec Saretzky and beat Mills' G Alexis Giroux for his 18th of the season to make it 1-0.

Then just 2:21 later, Braiden Koran worked his way out from the left corner and found Cage Newans right on top of the crease, and he tapped home his 14th of the year to make it a 2 goal game through 20 minutes.

The red-hot Broncos powerplay would continue their hot-stretch in the 2nd frame with two more goals as 4:25 in, Braiden Koran deflected home his 26th of the season to make it 3-0 and then just under 8 minutes later, SJHL leading scorer Connor McGrath hammered in his 32nd goal to make it a 4 goal game after 2 periods.

In the 3rd, the Bronco added some insurance with two late goals off the stick of Morozoff and 18 year old Noah Barlage to wrap up the scoring. 

Rayce Ramsey made 29 stops in the Broncos net to earn hi 5th shutout of the season while Alexis Giroux started for the Mills making 30 saves on 34 shots before being relieved by AP Ty Shumanski who turned aside 11 shots in the 3rd period.

The Millionaires' return to action on Saturday night when they visit the Estevan Bruins at Affinity Place.
