Stampeders; Millionaires both drop decisions on Friday Night


The Swan Valley Stampeders dropped the final regular season meeting of the season with Waywayseecappo, after a 6-3 loss to the Wolverines on Friday. 

20 year olds Kolton Shindle and Boston Bird each had 2 goals to lead the way offensively for Wayway who got singles from Reese Malkewich and Caleb Petrie. 

Ethan Matchim, Brad Fortin and Justin Keck replied for the Stamps. 

Liam Tereposky earned the win in goal for Waywayseecappo making 26 saves, while Stamps' G Kobe Grant was tagged with loss after 36 stops. 

The next game for the Stamps' will be on Tuesday night when they visit the OCN Blizzard, while the Wolverines' return to action that same night hosting the Virden Oil Capitals.

Ty Mason scored the game winning goal with 2:43 left in regulation to lead the Weyburn Red Wings to a 3-2 win on Friday over the Melville Millionaires. 

Ethan Whillans and Austyn Hansen also scored for the Wings, while Louis-Frederic Theberge and Kyle Bochek replied for the Millionaires. 

Jared Thompson stopped 28 shots for Melville in the loss. 

The Mils return to action on Saturday night for the final Highway 10 battle of the season visiting the Yorkton Terriers.
