The Swan Valley Stampeders snapped a 2 game losing streak on Tuesday night after a 4-0 road win over the OCN Blizzard.
The Stamps got out to a quick start in the 1st as they outshot the Blizzard 25-6 and got the games first goal from Ethan Matchim to make 1-0 after 1 period.
In the 2nd period, the Stamps added to their lead when Cole Chauvette’s seeing-eye wrister over the left shoulder of Blizz goalie Steven Bacovsky for his 1st MJHL goal as they made it a 2 goal game through 40 minutes.
Swan Valley added to their lead very early into the 3rd as 40 seconds in, Nic Roussel banged home a rebound for his 3rd of the season then a short-time on another powerplay, Adam Rajsigl’s snapper hit the back of the net to wrap up the scoring.
Stamps’ G Dylan Black made 30 saves to record his 2nd shutout of the season, while Steven Bacovsky made 41 stops in the loss.
The Stampeders look for their 21st win of the season on Friday night hosting the Virden Oil Capitals. GX94 will broadcast the game, starting with the pregame at 6:50 and the play by play starting at 7:00 PM from the Centennial Arena.
