Highway 10 clubs sweep Weyburn/Estevan on Wednesday night



For the 2nd straight game, the Melville Millionaires went into Estevan and defeated the Viterra division leading Bruins, this time by a 3-0 mark.

Teal Sobkowicz (pictured above) scored his 2nd, 3rd and 4th goals of the season for his 1st Hat-Trick. Brandon Wells made 34 saves for his 1st shutout of the season.

Mils look for their 3rd straight win on Saturday night as they host the Weyburn Red Wings with a 7:30 face-off from the Horizon Credit Union Center.

Elsewhere in the SJHL,

The Yorkton Terriers were able to snap a 6 game losing streak on Wednesday night by slipping by the Weyburn Red Wings 3-1 at Crescent Point Place.

Jared Legien led the way for the Terriers with 2 goals while Tyler Baier had the other marker. Matt Vernon made 39 saves for his 2nd win of the campaign.

Aiden Wagner had the lone goal for the Red Wings.


The Terriers return to the ice on Saturday night when they host the Nipawin Hawks at 7:30 from the Farrell Agencies Arena.

The Yorkton Terriers and Weyburn Red Wings swung a trade late last night (Wed).

The Terriers got 20 year old netminder Nathan Hargrave and a 2018 6th round pick from the Wings in exchange for a 3rd round pick in 2018 and future considerations.

The Abbotsford, BC product in his 3rd season in the SJHL where he has compiled a record of 39-29-5 split between Weyburn and the Kindersley Klippers.

So far this season with the Wings, Hargave had a 10-6-1 record with a 2.51 GAA, a 0.919 SV% and 2 shutouts.
