Maticic's game winner leads Millionaires to 3-2 comeback win over Estevan

The Melville Millionaires got their 8th win of the season as they snapped Estevan's 7 game winning streak in the process, beating the Bruins 3-2 on Friday night.

In the first the Bruins would strike first as Jason Miller would go five hole for his 12th of the season to make it a 1-0 game. Chance Patterson would make it 1-1 at the 14:31 mark of the 1st as his ripper would get past Curtis Meger for his 2nd of the season. The Bruins would regain their lead with late PP goal by Hayden Guilderson to make it 2-1 Estevan after 1 period.

The Mils would add the equalizer in that middle frame as Cory Schillo would bang home his 1st SJHL goal to make it a 2-2 game after 40 minutes.

In the 3rd, the only goal would be the game winner as Dayton Heino who would send a nice feed over to Alex Maticic who would deflect home the game winner, his 3rd of the season to give the Moneymen a 3-2 victory over the Estevan Bruins.

Colby Entz made 24 saves for the Mils to get his 2nd win of the season while Bruins' netminder Curtis Meger made 33 saves in the losing cause.

The Mils return to action on Wednesday as they will be back in Estevan to take on the Bruins at 7PM.
