The Yorkton Terriers won the back half of the recent Highway 10 home and home series as they defeated the Melville Millionaires 5-2 on Saturday night.
Dexter Robinson, Cole Keenleyside and McKenze Welke had 1G 1A each to lead the way for the Terriers while Carson Welke had 3 assists for the Terriers.
Damian Bentz and Tristan Paquette (1st SJHL marker & 1st as a Millionaire) had the goals for the Millionaires.
20 year old Nathan Hargrave made 33 saves to get the win for the Terriers while Brandon Wells stopped 37 shots in the losing cause.
The Terriers' next action will be on Tuesday night when they host the Humboldt Broncos while the Mils are back on the road on Friday night as they visit the Melfort Mustangs. GX94 will broadcast the game with Yorkton Dodge Junior Hockey, pregame 7:20 pxp at 7:30 from the Northern Lights Palace.
Meantime in the MJHL,
Connor Navrot had 1 Goal and 1 assist while Josh Martin got the winner in the 3rd period to lead the Swan Valley Stampeders to a 3-2 win over the OCN Blizzard.
Keaton Jameson also scored for the Stampeders while Connor Slipp made 36 saves on 38 shots to get the victory in goal.
The Stamps are back on the road on Tuesday night when they visit the Virden Oil Capitals. Pregame 7:20, pxp at 7:30 with Yorkton Dodge Junior Hockey on GX94 from Tundra Oil Capitals.
In Winkler,
The Waywayseecappo Wolverines dropped their 7th straight game as they fell 7-2 to the Winkler Flyers.
Matt Christian had 3 goals and 1 assist for the Flyers while Trevor Kavanaugh and Dylan Tanner scored for the Wolverines in the loss.
McKenzie Chalmers turned aside 48 shots for the Wolverines.
The Wolverines' next action will be on Tuesday nigh when they host the OCN Blizzard at 7:30
