Terriers; Millionaires both fall on a Sunday night

The Yorkton Terriers had their 5 game winning streak snapped, losing 5-2 to the Melfort Mustangs.

Jordan Ross and Tyler Baier scored for the Terriers while Miles Warkentine led way for the home squad with a couple of goals.

Matt Vernon made 35 saves in the loss while Mustangs goalie Evan Plotnik turned aside 23 for the victory.

Terriers return home on Friday night when they host the Melville Millionaires at 7:30. Pregame show begins at 7:20 with Yorkton Dodge Junior hockey on GX94

Elsewhere in the SJHL,

The Melville Millionaires dropped a decision on home ice, 4-0 to the Flin Flon Bombers.

Greyson Reitmeier, Eric Sinclair, Kristian St. Onge and Cory Thomad scored for Flin Flon.

Zac Robidoux stopped 13 shots for the shutout while Brandon Wells in the losing cause made 34 saves for the Millionaires.

The Mils are back at it on Wednesday night when they host the Weyburn Red Wings at 7:30
