The Wayway Wolverines had their 4 game winning streak come to an end on Sunday night losing 5-2 on the road to the Virden Oil Capitals.
Cody Durdle and Mack McPhee scored for the Wolverines while Hunter Lorenson made 42 saves in the losing cause.
Kyle Salaway, Carter Cowlthorp, and Mack Hardy led the way for the Oil Caps with a 1G 1A each.
The Wolverines are back in action on Wednesday night when they host the Dauphin Kings at 7:30 from the Wayway Arena Complex.
In the SJHL,
Dayton Heino had the lone goal for Melville but the Mils lost their 4th straight on Sunday, losing 4-1 in Kindersley Klippers.
Colby Entz made 17 saves on 21 shots to take the loss for the Mils.
Jake Gerbner, Clive Rozdeba, Cody Hodgson and Brendan Wagner scored for the Klippers.
The Mils are back in action on Thursday night when they host the Flin Flon Bombers at 7:30 from the Horizon Credit Union Center.
