The Swan Valley Stampeders drop their 3rd straight game & 3rd game to OCN this season dropping a 7-1 decision to the Blizzard on Wednesday night.
The Blizzard would come out with a very good road period in the 1st and they would be rewarded with the opening goal as 20 year old Jeremy Dumont would finish off a nice passing play by his line mates George King & Tristan Elie would knock home his 13th of the season to give the visitors a 1-0 lead after 20 minutes with the shots also favouring OCN with a 15-6 edge.
Jeremy Dumont would pick up where he left off from the first as he would help to add to the lead as he pot home his 2nd of the night and 14th of the season to make it 2-0 just 5:36 into the 2nd. Then just under a minute later, the Blizzard would make it 3-0 as George King would add his team-leading 26th of the season. But just 1:10 later, the Stamps would get on the board as Jason Cohan would drive hard to the net, his shot was stopped but the rebound came out to Stephen Perrault who banged home his 1st MJHL gaol to cut the Stamps to within 2 at 3-1. But the Blizzard would regain that lead with just 1:15 to go in the middle frame as King would add another, his 27th of the year to make it 4-1 OCN after 2 periods. Shots after 40 minutes were 39-14 (24-8 in the 2nd).

The Blizzard would add a few more for good measure in the 3rd period with 2 of the stick of Tristan Elie and one from Maverick Rafter as the visitors would cruise to a 6 goal victory and with the 2 points clinch a MJHL playoff spot in the process.
Brett Epp turned aside 19 of 20 shots in the Blizz net for his 17th win of the season while 18 year old Bret Evans made 44 saves in the losing cause.
The Stamps return to action on Friday night when they host the Winkler Flyers at 7:30 from the Centennial Arena in Swan River.
