Swan Valley Stampeders @ Trade Deadline


The Swan Valley Stampeders have been fairly busy early on Trade Deadline day.

The Stamps have dealt 20 year old defenceman Jordie Valentino to the OCN Blizzard in exchange for 19 year old F Shane Roulette, 2001-born prospect Drayson Collyer and futures.

The Thompson MB product played in 168 career games with the Stamps compiling 23 goals, 62 assists for 85 points. Currently this season he had 7 goals & 27 points in 37 games.

Roulette who hails from Winnipeg, has 9 goals, 12 assists for 21 points in 36 games this season with Blizzard.

Collyer, currently plays for the Brandon Midget AAA Wheat Kings had has scored 18 points in 23 games.

Also the Stamps trade 20 year old F Josh Martin and rights 19 year old G Lasse Petersen to the Portage Terriers for 18 year old F Calvin Bliid and future considerations.

The Elkhorn MB product Martin had 8 goals & 23 points in 37 games this season. In his Stamps career, Martin had 54 points in 117 career games.

Petersen is currently with the WHL's Red Deer Rebels and recently represented Denmark at the 2017 World Junior Hockey Championships.

Bliid, who is a Calgary AB product had 8 goals, 9 assists for 17 points 18 games with the Terriers.

The Swan Valley Stampeders have also received 18 year old defenceman Blake Jameson back from the WHL's Brandon Wheat Kings.

The Brandon MB product was pointless in 27 games with the Wheaties this season.

Jameson played 5 games with the Stamps last season including 3 in the postseason.

The Stamps also traded 20 year old Co-Captain Carter McMurdo to the Portage Terriers for the rights to 2001-born Tanner Morrison.

McMurdo in 157 career games with Swan had 8 goals and 22 assists for 30 points. This season he had 2 goals & 8 points in 30 games.

Morrison has 4 goals in 29 games in his rookie season with the Brandon AAA Midger Wheat Kings
