The Yorkton Terriers had their 2 game win streak snapped on Tuesday night, losing 5-0 on the road to the Nipawin Hawks at the Centennial.
After a scoreless 1st period, the Hawks get a couple of marker in the matter of the 1st 2:59 of the middle frame as first up just 2:03 in, Keegan Kjargaard would notch home his 13th goal of the season to make it 1-0. Then just 56 seconds later, Michael Grant would bang home his 11th to make it a 2-0 lead. It would stay like that until 2:09 to go in the 2nd as Nathan Hargave made the initial stop but then Josh McDougall would bang home the rebound for his 7th of the year to make it a 3 goal game for the home squad after 2 periods with shots being 24-12 Hawks.
The Terriers would have a little jump in the 3rd but enough to come back as the Hawks would add two more including Michael Grant's 2nd of the night while Grant Baetsen would wrap up the scoring with 9th of the season to give the Hawks a 5 goal win.
Declan Hobbs stopped all 17 shots he faced for the Hawks for his 2nd shutout of the season while in the loss Nathan Hargrave made 29 stops for the Terriers.
The Terriers now have lost 10 straight in Nipawin with their last win at the Cage back in October of 2010.
The Hawks won their 7th straight and 20th overall while the Terriers had their record drop 17-17-3 on the season.

In the MJHL,
The Swan Valley Stampeders got back on the win track as they doubled up the Virden Oil Capitals 6-3 on the road on Tuesday night.
Tanner Koroscil had 2 goals for the Stampeders while Brian Harris, Noah Basarab, Connor Navrot and Keaton Jameson also scored for the visitors.
Brett Evans made 44 saves to get the win in goal.
The Stamps are back at it on Friday night when they visit the Steinbach Pistons.
Elsewhere in Wayway,
The Wayway Wolverines gave up an early 3 goal lead and fell on home ice 6-5 to the Selkirk Steelers.
Cody Durdle had 1 goal, 2 assists for Wayway while Brendan Martin, Mack McPhee, Brandon Stanley and Trevor Kavanaugh also scored for the Wolverines.
Wayway is back at it on Tuesday Jan 10th when they host the Swan Valley Stampeders at 7:30
