Mils surrender 3 PP goals as they fall 4-1 in Weyburn

The Melville Millonaires let a 1 goal lead slip away as they fell 4-1 on the road to the Weyburn Red Wings on Monday night.

The Mils would get on the board first in the late stages of the opening period as 19 year old Tucker Chapman would hammer home a rebound for his 4th of the season to give the visitors an early 1-0 lead.

After a scoreless 2nd period, the Mils would get into some penalty trouble and it would cost them. Chapman was penalized for a 4 minute High-Sticking penalty and the Red Wings would convert twice just 19 seconds apart off the sticks of Landon Walters and Tyran Brown to give the home team their first lead at 2-1. Erik Olson would add some insurance late on another goal with the man advantage hammering home his 9th of the season that went off a Mils defenseman's leg in front to give his team a 3-1 lead before Ben Hiltz iced it in the empty net in the final minute.

Arik Weersink only had to make 19 saves on 20 shots for the victory while Mils net minder Connor Dochuk was very solid in the loss making 45 saves on 48 shots.

The Mils will continue their 4 game road trip on Saturday night for a neutral site game at the Grenfell Regional Park Arena when they take on the Notre Dame Hounds for a 7:30 face-off.
