Stamps' win streak snapped at 3 after 4-2 loss to Winkler

The Swan Valley Stampeders let a 3rd period lead slip away as they fell on home ice on Sunday, 4-2 to the Winkler Flyers.

Brett Opperman (WINK) and Matt Osadick (SV) would exchanged goals in the opening period to make it 1-1 after 2 periods.

The Stamps would take their first lead just 1:59 into the 3rd as Shane Roulette would notch his 6th goal of the season, but then the Flyers would storm back with 3 unanswered goals by Weiland Parrish, Matt Christian and Nolan McGuire to pace them to victory.

Troy Martyniuk made 20 saves in the Winkler net for the win while Brett Evans turned aside 36 shots in the losing cause.

The Stamps' next action will be on Wednesday night on home ice when they host the OCN Blizzard. Puck drop is at 7:30
