Yorkton's Maier headed back up to the WHL's Saskatoon Blades; Terriers make trade with Selkirk


The Saskatoon Blades have announced that they have brought back up 16 year old goaltender and Yorkton product Nolan Maier.

Maier started the season with the Blades before being sent back to the Yorkton Terriers (SJHL) where he had a 1-5-0-1 record with a 5.15GAA and a 0.897 SV%.

Maier was selected in the 2nd round, 25th overall by Saskatoon in the 2016 WHL Bantam Draft.

The Yorkton Terriers also made a move with the Selkirk Steelers.

The Terriers death the rights to 18 year old D Colby Haugen and a player development to the Steelers in exchange for 18 year old forward Evan Nicholas.

Nicholas who comes from Thunder Bay, Ontario was pointless in 8 games with the Steelers this season.
