The Yorkton Terriers took over 1st place overall in the Viterra division standings on Saturday by defeating the Humboldt Broncos 5-3 on "Teddy Bear Toss" Night at the Farrell Agencies Arena.

Aiden Bulych (pictured above) sent the Teddy Bear's flying with a goal just 4:00 into the game while also adding a couple of assists.

Jared Legien, Branden Klatt and Cody Bruchkowski also scored for the Terriers got 37 stops from Ryan Ouelette in the victory.

The Terriers' next game will be on Friday night when they visit the Melfort Mustangs at the Farrell Agencies Arena. GX94 will broadcast the game with Yorkton Dodge Junior Hockey, pregame 7:20 PXP at 7:30 from the Northern Lights Palace.


Elsewhere,

The Melville Millionaires earned a split on their weekend road trip.

After defeating the La Ronge Ice Wolves 6-4 on Friday, the Mils dropped a 5-1 decision in Melfort on Saturday.

Eric Soar had the lone goal for the Mils while Berk Berkeliev stopped 36 shots in the loss.

The Mils return back to home ice for their next game on Friday night when they host the Nipawin Hawks from the Horizon Credit Union Center.

MJHL 

Morgan Poirier scored twice as the Waywayseecappo Wolverines gave Swan Valley only their 4th regulation loss of the season defeating the Stampeders 5-3 on Saturday.

Greg Lee, Bryce Krauter and Riley Vautour also scored for the Wolverines while Nathan Reay made 26 saves to earn his 1st MJHL victory.

Frank Zhong, Brad Goethals and Josh Tripp scored for the Stampeders.

Jackson Hjelle made 25 saves in the loss for Swan.

The next game for the Wayway Wolverines will be on Friday night when they visit the Steinbach Pistons while the Swan Valley Stampeders will also be on the road visiting the Selkirk Steelers.
