Tripp's late game heroics helps Swan Valley to road win in Nov. 10th SJHL/MJHL Recap

The Swan Valley Stampeders returned back in the win column on Saturday night and earned their 14th win of the season by beating the Neepawa Natives 4-3 at the Yellowhead Center.

Josh Tripp scored the GWG with just 2.3 seconds left while Justin Svenson, Alex Uryga and Matt Osadick also chipped in with markers for Swan.

Merek Pipes made 26 saves on 29 shots to earn his 2nd win.

Jesse Gibbons led the way for Neepawa with 1G 1A.

These two teams will once again meet each other on Wednesday night in Neepawa. We will broadcast the game on GX94 with Yorkton Dodge Junior Hockey, pregame 7:20 pxp begins at 7:30.

Meanwhile in Winnipeg,

The Waywayseecappo Wolverines dropped a 3-2 road decision in Winnipeg against the Blues.

Morgan Poirier and Jake Bestul scored for the Wolverines who 26 saves from Isaac Labelle in the loss.

Jeremy Link turned aside 40 shots to pace the Blues to victory.

The next game for the Wolverines won't be until Nov. 18th when take on the Portage Terriers.

A late comeback from the Melville Millionaires came up a little short on Saturday as they fell 7-4 on the road to the Battlefords North Stars.

Tristan Shewchuk led the way offensively for the Mils with 2 goals while Max McPeak and Josh Borynec had the others for Melville. Berk Berkeliev stopped 25 shots in the loss.

Brayden Buziak had 3G 2A to lead the North Stars.

The Mils' next game will be on Wednesday night when they host the Weyburn Red Wings at the Horizon Credit Union Center.
