Yorkton Terriers Coaches Show - Nov. 5th edition; Local players receive SJHL Honours

Terriers' Bulych named SJHL Rookie of the Month

MYSASK 411 SJHL ROOKIE OF THE MONTH: 

Aiden Bulych, Yorkton Terriers

2001 F Aiden Bulych (Yorkton SK) began his Junior ‘A’ career on the top line with his hometown team and he’s made the most of his opportunity, producing 5-goals and 15-assists in 16-games played.  After opening the season pointless in his first two games, Bulych dropped four on Weyburn on September 21st and then proceeded to record a point in twelve straight. He leads all first year players in scoring this season.  Runner-up: Vincent Nardone, Flin Flon.

Legien; Entz earn SJHL Weekly Awards

Jared Legien, Yorkton Terriers

1998 F Jared Legien (Pilot Butte SK) scored 4-goals and 4-assists in 3-games played this past week as he keeps pace with Brandson Hein for the SJHL scoring lead.  Despite a 7-2 blowout loss on October 30th to Nipawin, Legien dented the twine twice before leading the Terriers to a pair of wins in La Ronge over the weekend. On Friday, he picked up one assist and then erupted on Saturday for 2-goals and 3-assists.  For the year, he has 18-goals and 16-assists in 18-games played. He trails Hein by two points for the overall scoring lead. Runner-up: Austen Flaman, Nipawin.


SASKTEL SJHL GOALTENDER OF THE WEEK: 

Colby Entz, Melvlle Millionaires

1998 G Colby Entz (Churchbridge SK) boosted the Melville Millionaires this past week by backstopping them to a pair of victories, allowing just one goal and making 30-saves on Friday night in a win at Humboldt, and then giving up just one on Saturday versus Notre Dame in an 18-save effort.  Entz entered the week with just one win in thirteen appearances, but he’s back on track now with a 3.45-GAA and .902-SPCT go along with a 3-8-2-and-2 ledger. Runner-up: Riley Kohonick, Notre Dame.
