The Canada West selection camp roster for the upcoming World Junior "A" Challenge has been announced.
Among the 44 invitees is Swan Valley Stampeders forward Matt Osadick.
The Grande Pointe, MB product is currently 2nd in MJHL scoring with 17 goals, 23 assists for 40 points in 24 games this season trailing only his linemate Josh Tripp.
Osadick joins fellow MJHLers Reilly Funk (Portage), Owen Murray (Portage), Kyle Bettens (Steinbach) and Matt Radomsky (Steinbach) as invitees.
Meanwhile there were SJHLers named including Tim Gould (Notre Dame), Chase Felgueiras (Humboldt), Nolan Renwick (Notre Dame) and Vincent Nardone (Flin Flon) while Estevan Bruins Head Coach Chris Lewgood will be Canada West's Asst. Coach and Melville Millionaires Head Coach/GM Devin Windle will be a guest coach at the camp.
The group of 44 Canada West selection camp invitees will gather in Calgary from Dec. 3rd to 5th for selection camp with successful players heading to Bonnyville on December 6th.
The 2018 World Junior "A" Challenge will be held from December 9th-16th in Bonnyville, Alberta.

Exploding for 11 points in four games, Bradly Goethals of the Swan Valley Stampeders has been named the Recycle Everywhere MJHL Player of the Week.
Goethals, who hails from Ile des Chenes, scored four goals while adding seven assists in helping the Stamps win three of four games.
Overall, the 20-year-old Stamps’ forward has 28 points (13-15) in 18 games.
The runners up are 20 year old forward Tony Apetagon of the OCN Blizzard and 20 year old defenceman Riley Shamray of the Dauphin Kings.
