Fort Knox drop 1st place showdown with Regina Capitals on Wednesday night

Kyle Colwell and Tristan Sulz had 1G 1A each to lead the visiting Regina Capitals to their 9th straight win on Wednesday as they defeated the Fort Knox 5-1 at the Fort Rexentre.

Matt Kesserling, Skyler Sangster and Todd Johnson also scored for the Capitals who got a 30 save performance from Jordan Berschiminsky in the win.

Conlan Nielson had the lone goal for the Knox who had their record drop to 8-2-0 on the season.

Knox G Dylan DeDecker made 32 saves on 37 shots in the loss.

The next game for the Fort Knox will be next Wednesday night when they visit the Pilot Butte Storm.

Tyler Leibl scored the GWG just 2:20 into overtime as the Waywayseecappo Wolverines defeated the Portage Terriers 4-3 on the road.

Reagan Rabbit, Matthew Swanson and Alex Lucken also scored for the Wolverines while the Terriers' goals came from Lane Taylor, Riley Bruce and Sam Huston.

Thomson Phinney made 24 saves on 27 shots in the win.

The Wolverines are back on the ice on Sunday when they host the Swan Valley Stampeders at 6PM MB time.

The Swan Valley Stampeders have now fell in the last 3 games after a 5-2 loss in OCN against the Blizzard

Ryan Butler had 1G 2A for the Blizzard in the win while Darren Gisti, Adam Drolet and Dylan DiTomaso chipped in with singles.

Luke Beerman and Leyson Coleman replied for the Stampeders who got 31 saves in the loss from G Michael Davis.

The Stampeders will return to action on Saturday night when they visit the Virden Oil Capitals at Tundra Oil & Gas Place.
