Ryan Ries scored the game winner 3:30 into overtime to lead the Yorkton Terriers to a 4-3 victory over the visiting Flin Flon Bombers.
Chantz Petruic, Brett LeGrandeur and Evan Sare also scored the Terriers who got a 39 save performance from Phillipe Bond in the win.
Donovan Houle-Villenueve, Easton Haygarth, and Reid Robertson replied for the Bombers.
Jacob Delorme made 25 stops in the overtime loss.
The Terriers will return to action on Tuesday night when they host the Estevan Bruins. GX94 will broadcast the game starting with the "Sask Milk" pregame show at 7:20 while the play by play beginning at 7:30 from the Farrell Agencies Arena.
Elsewhere,
The Melville Millionaires' tied things up late with a goal by Nic Porterfield in the final minute but they weren't able to get the extra point as they fell 2-1 in the shootout to the Weyburn Red Wings.
Nolan Steer opened the scoring for the Red Wings late in the 2nd while Aaron de Kok stopped 35 shots and all three Mils shooters in the shootout.
18 year old rookie Kaleb McEachern turned aside 44 of 45 shots in the losing cause for the Moneymen.
The Mils' next game will be on Friday night when they begin the start of a back to back games at the Whitney Forum in Flin Flon against the Bombers.
