Stamps drop first game of 2018 to visiting Steelers

In the MJHL,

The Swan Valley Stampeders dropped their first game of 2018 on Wednesday, losing on home ice 5-2 to the Selkirk Steelers.

Connor Barley had 2 goals for the Steelers including the game winner his 29th goal of the season. Carter Barley, Ethan Eang and Nico Labossiere also replied for the visitors.

Connor Navrot and Trevar Mann scored for the Stamps.

Hayden Dola made 28 saves in the win for Selkirk while Stamps netminder turned aside 20 shots in the loss.

The Stamps next game will be on Sunday night when they host the OCN Blizzard at the Centennial Arena in Swan River. GX94 will broadcast the game with Yorkton Dodge Junior hockey, pregame 7:20 pxp at 7:30.
