Mils snap slide with SO win over visiting Bombers

The Melville Millionaires snapped their 5 game losing streak on Thursday night as they defeated the visiting Flin Flon Bombers 2-1 in the shootout at the Horizon Credit Union Center.

Montana Streit got the Mils on the board early in the 1st period to give them the early lead before Nate Hooper sent it to the extra time with a 3rd period power play goal.

After overtime solved nothing, Mils defenceman Eric Soar would get the only goal in the shootout in the 5th round to give the Mils the key 2 points.

Colby Entz (pictured above) made 28 saves on 29 shots including all 5 in the shootout to get the win in goal while Brenden Newton made 22 saves in the loss for the Bombers.

The Mils will go right back at it on Friday night when they visit the Weyburn Red Wings at Crescent Point Place. GX94 will broadcast the game with Yorkton Dodge Junior Hockey, pregame 7:20 pxp at 7:30.

The Bombers will be in Yorkton on Friday night to take on the Terriers.
