Next month's Winter Olympics will feature a little local flavour.

Yorkton's Gerry Adam will be the coach for the Switzerland ladies curling team of Sylvana Tirinzoni at the 2018 Winter Olympics in South Korea.

"It's one of those dream comes true moments, I've been to a Brier and such but this is kind of the next step up", Adam said in a interview this morning (Mon).

Adam will leave Regina for Switzerland on Feb. 4 before heading to South Korea on Feb. 6 to prepare for the games

The Yorkton product says the women's event has a pretty strong field.

"You look at the field, it's a great from top to bottom so you look at it you could be in the Gold Medal game or in 7th, just depends on how the week goes, but our goal and expectation like many of the other rinks is to win the Gold"

Adam and the Switzerland rink will open up their Olympics on Feb. 14th against China.
