The Yorkton Cardinals picked up their first win of the season by hammering the Melville Millionaires 11-5 at Jubilee Park.
With the loss Melville is now on a four game losing skid and had their record drop to 3-5 on the season.
Ryne Niemi led the Cardinal attack with three hits, two runs scored and four RBIs.
Melville starter Zach Diaz pitched three innings and took the loss. Chris Cook came out of the bullpen in the fourth inning to get the win for Yorkton.
The two teams will once again meet tonight at 7:05 from Pirie Field in Melville.
