The Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League and the board of governors have voted unanimously to supply the Humboldt Broncos with players for the upcoming season through a dispersal draft.
From the results of the draft, the Broncos selected F Ethan Kopycyzn (pictured above right) from the Melville Millionaires and defenceman Kyle Sargent (pictured above left) from the Yorkton Terriers.
Kopyczyn, who hails from Sherwood Park, AB had 7 goals, 23 assists for 30 points in 57 games with the Millionaires this past season.
Meanwhile Sargent, a Carlyle product just completed his 1st season with the Terriers where compiled 3 goals, 10 assists for 13 points in 42 games.
On April 6, the Humboldt Broncos team bus was travelling to Nipawin for a playoff game when it collided with a semi-truck. Sixteen people – including 10 players – were killed in the crash. Thirteen others were injured.
