The Melville Millionaires improved their record to 2-1 on the young WMBL season after they defeated Swift Current 10-6 on Tuesday night.
Zach Diaz, who got the Melville win, pitched in four innings giving up one run while striking out six. Nick Hooper registered the loss for the 57s.
Ryan Tackett (pictured above) led the Melville offensive charge with three hits and three RBI. Five other Millionaires chipped in with two hits each. 57s centre fielder Anthony Stewart had two of Swift Current’s six runs.
The Mils will go right back at it on Wednesday morning at 11:05AM when they visit the Yorkton Cardinals at Jubilee Park.
