Millionaires; Cardinals hit win column in Tuesday's WMBL Recap

With their 6-5 victory, the Melville Millionaires became giant killers as they handed the Weyburn Beavers their first loss of the 2018 season.

Melville got a great plate performance from Ryan Tackett who smacked a three-run homer to give the Millionaires a 4 -0 in the third inning.

The Money Men increased their lead to 6-1 after seven before Weyburn made it close with a four run eighth inning.

One of the bright spots for the Beavers was Corey Wheaton. The outfielder from the University of Mobile had three hits including a homer for Weyburn.

Melville starter Tyler Ulrich (pictured above) allowed four hits and a run over seven innings of work. Ulrich also struck out seven in securing his first victory of the year.

The Mils and Beavers will meet in the annual "Kiddies Game" on Wednesday at Pirie Field. First pitch is at 11:05AM
