The Weyburn Beavers battled the weather and the Yorkton Cardinals on their way to a 7-3 victory at Jubilee Park.
This all spirited Saskatchewan matchup featured a short rain delay but that did not dampen the Beaver bats as they tagged the Yorkton pitching staff for 11 hits.
Weyburn is now 2-0 while Yorkton fell to 0-3.
The Cardinals' next game for the Yorkton Cardinals will be tomorrow (Wed) and it will be their annual "School Kids" game when they host the Melville Millionaires. Game time is at 11:05AM from Jubilee Park.

The Swift Current 57s defeated the Melville Millionaires 14-6 on Monday night.
The win was the first of the season for the defending WMBL champions.
Melville’s Marshall McPherson clubbed two home runs in a losing cause.
With the win, Swift Current improved their record to 1-3 while Melville dropped to 1-1.
The Mils and 57's will play once again on Tuesday at Mitchell Field.
