The Moose Jaw Miller Express scored eight runs in the first inning and went
on to defeat the visiting Yorkton Cardinals 9-3 in opening night action at Ross
Wells Park.
Starter Mitchell Robinson earned the win for Moose Jaw while Austin Skelhorn
was tagged with the loss for Yorkton. Cardinal outfielder Ryne Niemi was a
bright spot at the plate for the visitors. The Adams State product had three
hits and three RBI on the night.
The Cardinals were supposed to be back in action today (Fri) against the Melville Millionaires, but that game has been postponed
