Harrison Grow made a great first impression on the 200 Cardinal fans
in his WMBL debut at Jubilee Park.
The freshman from Lane Community
College turned in a five hit, one run performance in his first start. He
also had four strikeouts in the Yorkton win.
Melville’s starter Zach Diaz was the losing pitcher allowing four runs and nine hits over 6.2 innings.
Millionaire outfielder Chandler Hughes was a bright spot in the lineup
contributing two doubles and two runs. Jared McDonald, the Arizona
product, has two hits including a double and two RBI in his first game
with the Cardinals.
Yorkton improved to 3-9, while Melville has lost nine consecutive games and currently sit with a 3-10 record.
