The Swan Valley Stampeders' completed the weekend sweep of the Steinbach Pistons on Sunday night after defeating them for the 2nd straight night in overtime, 3-2 in Swan River.
Brendan Saether got the Stamps' on the board just 3:29 into the 1st as his seeing-eye wrister beat a screened Matt Lenz for his 3rd of the year to make it 1-0.
But the Pistons' responded quickly just 51 seconds later, as Mikael Foucher made the stop and then thought the puck was underneath him but it wasn't as Dylan Cassie found it and flipped into the open net for his 5th to even it up at 1-1 after 1 period.
Callum Fortin regained the Swan Valley lead just 1:51 into the 2nd period as he went top-shelf over Lenz's left shoulder for his 12th of the year that made it a 2-1 advantage for the Stamps' through 40 minutes.
In the 3rd, the Pistons tied it in the final minute as Zach Purcell's point shot got deflected by Mikael Foucher by Tanner Mole in front to push the game into overtime for the 2nd straight night.
In the overtime, Josh Maucieri led a rush up ice and his first attempt was stopped but then he capitalized on the rebound for 16th of the year to give his team the two points.
Mikael Foucher made 32 stops to earn his 24th victory over the season while Pistons' G Matt Lenz made 31 saves in the overtime loss.
