Analysis:

The Yorkton Terriers will be looking for a repeat of last years' series win over the Humboldt Broncos, while the Broncos will be looking for a little revenge from last year when the Terriers' beat thte Broncos in 6 games to capture the Canalta Cup Title.

In between the pipes, it'll be a battle between 2 of the best goaltenders in the SJHL, and between 2 goaltenders who were both recognized with league awards earlier this week. Terriers netminder and Yorkton product Kale Thomson witbh 31 wins and record breaking 8 shutouts during the regular season  was named the league's top Goaltender, while Broncos goalie Ryland Pashovitz is also very, very good, by being named the SJHL Rookie of the Year with a dazzling 1.60GAA, but he was a little shaky in the Quarter-Finals and the Broncos will need him to return to regular season form to be successful in this series.

In looking at any matchup you match the Terriers' defence with any other team's defence, the Terriers' defence will always have the edge. Led by SJHL Defenseman of the Year Chase Norrish, twin brother and last years' Western Canada Cup Top Defenseman Brady Norrish and 4 year Terrier vet & Captain Devon McMullen and then you add in a star in making in the SJHL in Tanner Lischynsky, and veterans Dallas Rossiter & Dylan Baer this Terriers defense is very, very deep. Meantime on the Broncos side, their backend is no slouch either led by a couple veterans in Logan Sproule and Captain David Stumborg who can provide offensive production from the backend, while youngsters Connor Swystun and Greg Moro have both put together very solid rookie campaigns.

Up front the Terriers' forward depth really showed in that matchup with the Hounds as they were able to win games with their top scorers' Brett Boehm and Tayler Thompson  only getting 1 goal apiece, but they looked like their found that groove again in Game 5. While The veteran likes of Tyler Giebel, Daylan Gatzke and Dylan Johnson had very solid first rounds while the youngest member of the Terriers club, 17 year old Jordan Ross was probably the best forward chipping with 5 points in 5 games including the OT winner in Game 4 to give the Terriers a 3-1 series lead. For the Broncos they have some veterans that they will need to be at their best, that includes Cody Pongracz, David Miazga, and Dillion Fluter among others, that have been through it before. Former Prince George Cougar Jarett Fontaine had a very good first round point wise during the regular season and needs to try and translate that play into the playoffs while another smallerish forward Gray Marr has got to use his good speed and try & make things happen.

Place Predictions below if you so choose.
