Terriers drop Game 2 in Wilcox

The SJHL Quarter-Final series between the Yorkton Terriers and the Notre Dame Hounds is now down to a Best of 5, as the Hounds doubled up the Terriers 2-1.

The game would remain scoreless until Dylan Johnson would take a nice feed in the slot from Tayler Thompson and rip it shortside on Alexi Thibedeau for his 1st goal of the playoffs to make it a 1-0 lead Terriers lead early on. The Terriers would get some more chances in the 1st as they would have 5 total Powerplays but couldn't convert and would end up 0 for 9 overall during the game. The Hounds would even it up shorthanded as Andrew Cummings would send one from below the goal line and it would some how squeeze between the post and Kale Thomsons pad for his 1st to even it up at 1-1 after 1 periods, and then it would remain deadlocked at 1's after 40 minutes.

In the third once again more chances both ways especially on the Terriers who had some glorious chances on the PP. The Hounds would break the tie with just 4:20 remaining in regulation as Dion Antisin would grab a loose puck in the slot and get it past Thomson for his 1st of the playoffs and it was 2-1 Hounds. The Terriers would come out in full bore in the last 4 mins and change left in the 3rd which included pulling their goalie for the extra attacker but they came up empty to give the Hounds a 2-1 Game 2 win.

Alexi Thibedeau got his 4th win of the playoffs in goal stopping 28 shots while Kale Thomson had 23 saves in a losing cause.

With the series tied at 1-1 , the series will shift back to Yorkton for Game 3 on Tuesday night at 7:30 from the FAA
