Knox push Storm to the brink after a Game 3 victory in Pilot Butte on Wednesday

The Fort Knox have taken a 3-0 series lead in their PJHL South Semi-Final after holding on for a 3-2 road win on Wednesday night over the Pilot Butte Storm.

Tyson Stadnyk gave the Knox an early 1-0 lead with his 2nd goal of the playoffs just 5:24 into the 1st to make it a 1-0 Knox lead.

The Knox would add to their lead in the 2nd as Captain Tyler Stratechuk would pick up a loose puck and snipe it home for his 1st of the postseason that made it a 2 goal game. Just under 6 minutes later, Stadnyk would grab his 2nd of the evening to give the road team a 3-0 lead after 40 minutes.

In the 3rd after just 170 minutes without a goal in the series, Dante Weimer would finally get the Storm on the board as he beat Jakob Taylor over the left pad to make it 3-1. Then with just 4 mins to go, PJHL MVP Taylor Schmidt's long shot would beat a screened Taylor to make it a one goal game, but that's as close as they'd get.

Jakob Taylor won his 3rd straight start making 23 saves on 25 shots for the Knox while Tyler Szturm turned aside 28 shot in the loss.

The Knox will have a chance to go for the sweep on Friday night when they host Game number 4 at the Fort Rexentre, with puck drop happening at 8PM.
