Terriers' drop Game 6 at home; will visit Nipawin on Tuesday for Game 7 to decide SJHL Quarter-Final

The Yorkton Terriers drop their 2nd straight possible series clinching game on Sunday night losing Game 6, 3-1 to the visiting Nipawin Hawks.

The Hawks once again staved off elimination tying up the Best of 7 Quarter-Final series at 3-3 and forcing a Game 7 on home ice tomorrow night (Tues)

The Terriers would get off a start in the 1st as they would open the scoring as Cody Dubas' long point shot would sneak through Hawks net minder Patrick Pugilese and into the back of the net for the Rama product's 1st of the playoffs to make it 1-0 Yorkton after 1 period.

In the 2nd, the Hawks would even it up at 1-1 just 10:44 in as Christian Bosa would pick up a loose puck and slide it past Ryan Ouellette for his 1st of playoffs. Then just 3:09 later, Josh Lester would jump on rebound in front and slip it home to give the visitors a 2-1 lead after 40 minutes.

The Hawks would add some insurance early in the 3rd as just 27 seconds in, Carson Erhardt tucked home his 2nd of the series to help Nipawin force a Game 7.

Hawks netminder Patrick Pugilese once again got the start and was once again impressive making 40 saves on 41 shots while Yorkton G Ryan Ouellette turned aside 24 shots in the loss.
