SJHL/MJHL Showcase wrapped up on Tuesday in Regina

(Team Garbutt (MJHL) 2  Team Schwartz (SJHL) 4)


Yorkton Terrier defenceman Tyson Janzen (1G 1A) and Jarrett Penner (2A) had two points each to lead Team Schwartz to a 4-2 victoy over Team Garbutt.

Jaxsen Wiebe (Nipawin), Parker Fofonoff (Melfort) and Chase Felgueiras (Humboldt) also scored for the SJHL squad while Riley Kohonick (Notre Dame) made 37 saves in the win.

Owen Murray (Portage) and Grady Hobbs (Dauphin) chipped in the with markers for Team Garbutt.

**Wayway forward Jaymes Knee and Swan Valley Coach Barry Wolff are a part of Team Garbutt

**Melville forwards Tristan Shewchuk & Luke Spadafora, Yorkton Terrier's Aidan Bulych, Moosomin's
Jevon Schwean and Rhein's Zach McIntyre were also a part of Team Schwartz

Wayway Wolverines' netminder Isaac Labelle made 30 saves for the shutout to lead MJHL's Team Belfour to a 4-0 victory over Team Mitchell in the 2nd game of the day.

Griffin Leonard (Winkler) and Kolten Kanaski (Virden) had goal and an assist each to lead the way while Ocean Wiesblatt (Portage) & Brett Namaka (Selkirk) chipped in with singles.

Swan Valley Stampeder dman Dane Hirst also had an assist in the game
Swan Valley's Quintin Sudom and Troy Quinn were also members of Team Belfour

Meanwhile, Yorkton Terriers' Brendan Mark & Cody Bruchkowski and Melville's Daniel Liberty were with Team Mitchell

( Team Zajac (MJHL) 1 Team Kunitz (SJHL) 8 )


Team Kunitz wrapped up the two day event with the 4th victory for the SJHL.

They scored six 3rd period goals including 2 each from McGregor Sinclair (Battlefords) and Nate Hooper (Flin Flon) to lead them to a 8-1 victory over Team Zajac.

Chrystopher Collin (Flin Flon) also had 1G 3A while Jordan Simoneau (Nipawin), Caleb Moretz (Nipawin), and Daylan Marchi (Flin Flon) had singles.

Former Wayway Wolverine Brendan Martin had the only goal short-handed for Team Zajac.


Swan Valley's Merek Pipes, Josh Tripp, Brad Goethals, Kasyn Kruse, Josh Maucieri and Alex Uryga were also members of Team Zajac.
