Wolverines; Mils both drop home decisions on Sunday

In the MJHL,

Matt Radomsky made just 16 saves to earn his league-leading 5th shutout of the season to lead the Steinbach Pistons to a 2-0 victory on Sunday over the Waywayseecappo Wolverines.

Couple of former Wolverines' in Brendan Martin and Riley Vautour provided the offense for the Pistons.

Isaac Labelle turned aside 25 shots for Wayway in the loss.

The Wolverines return to action on Wednesday night when they host the Neepawa Natives at 7:30 from the Wayway Arena Complex.


In the SJHL,

The Melville Millionaires dropped their 7th straight game in a Sunday matinee to the Flin Flon Bombers, 5-1 at the Horizon Credit Union Center.

The Mils jumped out to an early 1-0 lead on a first period goal from Damian Bentz, but then the Bombers replied with 5 unanswered goals to lead them to the two points.

Brandson Hein and Cade Kowalski each had 2 goals to lead the way offensively while Jacob Delorme turned aside 21 of 22 shots to earn the victory.

Colby Entz made 33 saves in the Mils net in the loss.

The Mils' who still sit one point ahead of Weyburn for the SJHL's final playoff spot will return to action on Saturday night when they host the La Ronge Ice Wolves.
