Terriers; Mils both drop Friday night SJHL matchups

The Yorkton Terriers fell on the road in Wilcox, 4-2 to the Notre Dame Hounds.

Jarett Penner, Curtis Wiebe, Cole Stevenson and Jared Hamm all scored for the Hounds while Riley Kohonick made 22 saves in the win.

Quin Hobbs and Kishaun Gervais replied for the Terriers.

Former Hound Andrew Henderson turned aside 34 shots in his first game against his former team.

The Terriers return to action on Saturday when they host the Flin Flon Bombers at Farrell Agencies Arena. Puck drop will be at 7:30.

Speaking the Bombers, they got two goals from veteran Nate Hooper as they defeated the Melville Millionaires 5-2 on Friday night.

Billy Klymchuk, Daylan Marchi, and Calvon Boots also scored for the Bombers while Aidan Steinke and Jacob Bourchier replied for the Moneymen.

Gabriel Waked turned aside 32 of 34 shots to earn the victory for the Bombers while Colby Entz made 28 saves in the loss .

The Mils' next matchup will be another meeting against the Bombers at 4PM on Sunday from the Horizon Credit Union Center.
